About Millerton School

Millerton School, with 78 students enrolled, is a small rural school where love, kindness, and a strong sense of community thrive. Our welcoming and safe environment is fostered by supportive staff, involved families, and an active home & school committee. We are committed to providing students with positive, relevant learning experiences, helping them explore their passions and grow in a nurturing atmosphere where every student is encouraged to succeed.
We take immense pride in the genuine care and support shown between our students and staff, ensuring everyone reaches their full potential. At Millerton, you’re not just a name on a roster; you’re seen and valued. With smaller classes and a lower student-to-teacher ratio, we are able to cater to the individual needs of each student. We also embrace the outdoors with learning spaces that allow our students to explore nature, build forts, enjoy cookouts, and participate in a variety of physical activities year-round. Our school is an integral part of the community, hosting a variety of events such as seniors’ meetings, fun evening activities, and community fundraisers, making it a hub of connection and engagement.
